MISSION ON THE MOUNTAIN:  The Moriah Children's Home is a faith-based mission totally dependent on donations from individuals, churches, businesses, civic and social organizations, the Moriah Closet thrift store and from fund raising activities.  Located on Sand Mountain, (approx 8 miles East of Scottsboro) in Jackson County, at Dutton,  is often referred to as a Mission on the Mountain and is a 501 (c) 3 not-for-profit charitable organization. Several churches of different denominations have included Moriah Home in their mission budget.

INDIVIDUALS, CHURCHES AND BUSINESSES are needed as partners to provide the operational budget for the home.  Several churches, individuals and a few businesses provided funds for the construction phase of the home and have committed to continue their support.  Many others are needed to meet the estimated annual budget of $210,000 to operate the home for 10 children, salaries & benefits for house parents, a director and a part-time social worker.  We are trusting through faith that the $210,000 budget will be reached by caring and giving people who want to help make a difference in the lives of children.  What a rewarding investment!

Would you, your church, business, or civic organization be willing to become a partner in the Moriah Children's Home?   There is no amount too small or too large.  The donations may be given on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.  The gifts may be in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special person in your life, business or organization.  Plaques will be presented to churches and businesses that become partners on an annual basis and a plaque with partners names listed will be in the administrative area of the home.
