UPCOMING EVENTS/FUND RAISERS

There are no upcoming fund raising events scheduled at this time. Would you as an individual, church, youth group, civic or social group like to host an event for the Moriah Home? Fashion shows, singings, suppers (Bar-b-q, hot dog, chili etc) bike or walk a thons are all good methods of raising funds and letting more folks know about the Moriah Home. If you would like to plan an event, please contact the Director, 256 228-0054

The Sixth Annual Dinner and Auction on September 29, 2007 was a great success resulting in over $8,000 raised for the home. Our deepest appreciation and thanks to all who worked so hard to make this a special evening, all who donated items for the auction, attended and bought.  Thank you for your partnership in this home.

IF MANY WOULD GIVE 10 OR 20 THAT WOULD BE PLENTY: An on-going fund raising effort began in September with the slogan  “ If many would give 10 or 20 that would be plenty”.  This has resulted in several individuals making a commitment of amounts ranging from  $10.00 a month to 50.00 a month. Would you become a monthly partner for any amount?  If so, please call 256-228-6370 or 256 228-0054 and request a donation form.  If you would like to make a donation first and have the form mailed to you, please submit check made payable to Moriah Christian Children’s Home, P. O. Box 58, Dutton, AL  35744.   Gifts are tax deductible.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL OFFERINGS:  Again in 2007, several churches donated their VBS offerings to the Moriah Home.  These offerings always touch our hearts because it is “children helping children” and are a special blessing. 

We also receive offerings from Children Church groups, another example of children learning early to share with those less fortunate. Thank you for blessing us with these gifts.
